BIG TEN CHAMPS!!!!

It’s been a long time since we have been able to say that. 20 years in fact. Quick - who did we share the Championship with that year? (answer below)

You probably heard all the stats but they are fun to say - First time we beat PSU in Happy Valley since before JoePa was HC. Most home wins in a season - 7. Most total wins in a season - 11. Most wins for a senior class - 33. Just a great season!

While watching the MSU victory - I also hid my stuffed Sparties, ate a pound and a half of Rolaids, closed my eyes and actually rooted for UM. Of course, UM goes out and pulls a Rocky Balboa - the early rounds - and gets pummeled 37-7. How Greg Robinson still remains employed as a coach at any level higher than Pee Wee football is beyond me.

Pete and the Doofus were celebrating this week

What a come back by the Spartans!! The announcers were all over -"These are NOT your same ol Spartans - These are brand new Spartans"

It will take a miracle for the Green and White to get to Pasadena - First we have to get by PSU on Senior Day (and potentially JoPa's last home game) and have UM beat OSU. I've gone the non-miracle route and booked a hotel room in Orlando for the Capital One Bowl. Anyone else going?

Another great week for the BAD going a perfect 4-0. The BAD does much better when it doesn't force itself to go for home teams.

The Doofus was none too happy last week

Well that sucked! Going 0-4 is not easy to do or stomach.

At first I thought it was the Yoydyne modification that was installed last week
and I was considering shutting down the BBofG for the year. But upon further review the BBofG went 28-26-2 so the blame was squarely on the Betting
Allocator Doofus.

Besides - if I were to shutdown the BBofG bettors who cashed in by going against the Doofus would be severely disadvantaged. So I will continue to press on.

A special part has been flown in from Yoyodyne Labs to modify the BBofG

Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that MSU would blow out Minny 31-8 and it be considered a yawner of an afternoon. Nice win by the Spartans and it's considered fairly ordinary.

The Big Book of Guesses had an off weekend but not a disaster as it went 2-3

Week 10 recap:
Central Florida -1.5 @ Houston - UCF QB Godfrey threw for 294 yds and ran for another 105 as the Golden Knights held on to beat Houston 40-33 in an exciting back and forth game. The two teams combined for over 1,000 yds of offense. Houston cut the lead to 7 points with 5:46 left. UCF then drove to the Cougar 22 yd line only to miss a clinching
field goal with 1:56 left. Houston's final drive got the the UCF 46 where they were stopped on downs WIN

Celebrating a great October!!

Well that sucked! You knew one of these weeks MSU's charmed run was going to come to a halt but that was difficult to watch. Still - if you told me at the beginning of the season that MSU would be 8-1 after 9 weeks with wins over ND, UM and Wisconsin - I would have taken it in a heartbeat. Looks like if the Spartans win out (Penn State in Happy Valley on Senior Night concerns me) and Iowa beats OSU
in Kinnock Stadium - then we will be Rose Bowl Bound.

The Big Book of Guesses 2.0 had a great run in October as it went 2-1 for the week and 11-3-1 for the month.
