Pete and the Doofus were celebrating this week
What a come back by the Spartans!! The announcers were all over -"These are NOT your same ol Spartans - These are brand new Spartans"
It will take a miracle for the Green and White to get to Pasadena - First we have to get by PSU on Senior Day (and potentially JoPa's last home game) and have UM beat OSU. I've gone the non-miracle route and booked a hotel room in Orlando for the Capital One Bowl. Anyone else going?
Another great week for the BAD going a perfect 4-0. The BAD does much better when it doesn't force itself to go for home teams.

Week 12 Recap:
Va Tech -2.0 @ Miami (FL) - The Hokie’s defense allowed 464 yds but forced 6 turnovers including 3 INT in the final 9 minute. With the score tied 17-17 at the end of three - VT scored 2 TDs in the 4th Qtr including a game winning 84 yd TD run by Ryan Williams as VT rolled Miami (FL) 31-17. VT has now allowed only 10 4th qtr points in 7 ACC games. WIN
Wisconsin -4.5 @ Michigan - At the beginning of the year the BBofG detailed what a terrible DC Greg Robinson was - rating at or near the bottom wherever he goes. This year is no different - His defenses continue to stink - ranking 112th in yds allowed (out of 120 teams) and 99th in points allowed. Wisconsin had no trouble rolling the Wolverine defense for 558 yds and kept UM offense of the field with 37 minutes of time of possession. Building a 24-0 halftime lead - the Badgers cruised to an easy 48-28 win. It was the first time since 1959 that WI beat OSU, UM and Iowa in the same year. WIN
Northern Illinois -14.5 @ Ball State - NIU continues to steamroll through the MAC. The Huskies built a 35-7 lead at the half including a blocked punt return for a TD. BSU made a comeback in the third qtr cutting the lead to 35-21 but then the Huskies kicked it into another gear - scoring 24 unanswered points to crush the Cardinals 59-21. WIN
Green Bay -3.0 @ Minnesota - The BBofG was so good with this pick it got a HC fired! Brett Farve has gone into retirement mode going 17 for 38 and a pathetic QB rating of 51.2. After an early 3-0 Viking lead it was all GB as they scored 31 unanswered for an easy 31-3 win. With the firing of the Minny HC the BBofG will lay off betting against
the Vikings (as it has done by not betting the Dallas games) until it can figure out if it was coaching or talent that led to their demise. With Farve still there - there may still be opportunities to fade the Vikes. He finds a way to lose games. WIN
Also a shout out to Pete as he took the lead in the SpartanMag pick'em contest!
Not a good week for taking double digit dogs as they went 5-16 on Friday and Sat. Two of the double digit covers were versus GT and MSU who I won't bet against. The BBofG was unable to get any of the remaining three as the
Point Whore Parly went 0-4
Fresno State +30.5 @ Boise State - BSU won 51-0 LOSS
Marshall +13.5 @ SMU - SMU won 31-17 LOSS (barely crap)
NMSU +37.5 @ Nevada - Nevada won 52-6 LOSS
Rutgers +13.5 @ Cincinnati - Cinn won 69-38 LOSS
Week 13 is Rivalry week and Senior Day in a lot of games so teams will be pulling out their "A" games. Through the record book out the window and take your chances this week.
Week 13 Picks:
Kansas State -14 @ North Texas - Kansas State's offense has been averaging 38 points per game in Big 12 play. While North Texas has rebounded lately winning 2 of 4 after firing their head coach the wins were against bottom feeders Western Kentucky and MTSU. The Wildcats will find it putting points up on a below average Sun Bolt team a
lot easier than what its seen in Big 12 play.
South Carolina -2.5 @ Clemson - An underrated and entertaining rivalry game in the Palmetto State. The Gamecocks have shown they can play with anyone with their A game and are more talented and consistent than the Tigers. Though the game is in Death Valley I still see Spurrier’s squad coming out on top.
Purdue -3.5 vs Indiana - Purdue is a solid team as the Spartans found out last week. Indiana is not. With the
better team playing at home - The Boilers should keep the Old Oaken Bucket.
La Tech -11.5 @ San Jose State - La Tech can point up the points and SJSU gives them up in droves. I'll lay the
points against one of the worst teams in Div 1A
Pittsburgh - 6.5 @ Buffalo - Buffalo has played hard this year. They have won their last 2 straight up and 4 of
5 against the spread. However, Pittsburgh needs this game to stay in the hunt in a difficult AFC layoff race
For the Point Whore Parlay I'll take Michigan +17.5 @ Ohio State
Kansas +24.5 @ Missouri (Neutral Site)
Virginia +23.5 @ Virginia Tech
Have a great Thanksgiving Weekend!
