Thank you! Thank you! Thanks you very much!!
Another great week of Mega Betting as the Big Book of Guesses 2.0 went 3-0 with easy covers in all three games
These games are lot more fun to pick this time of year when teams establish trends and some teams start to pack it in (I'm looking at you Akron)
The Week 8 results were:
Western Michigan -7.0 @ Akron - The Zips lived up to their name and brought nothing to the table. WMU jumped to a 35-3 lead in the first half and never let up winning 56-10. How bad was it for Akron? - their offense did not even score as their lone TD came on a fumble return. The Broncos then took the subsequent kickoff to the house. WIN

Ohio State -23.5 vs Purdue - OSU rolled to a 42-0 halftime lead then took their foot off the gas but still winning by their largest shutout victory ever 49-0. The defense never let up holding the Boilers to 30 rushing yards and 118 total yards. WIN
Kansas City -9 vs Jacksonville - This one was tight into the early third quarter as KC lead 21-20. But then the
Jax 3rd string QB Todd Bouman finally cracked throwing a pick six in the 3rd quarter and a second INT in the fourth returned to the Jax 35. KC scored 21 unanswered points winning 42-20 WIN
The Point Whore Parlay went 1-2 as:
Washington State +35 @ Stanford - Stanford jumped to a 31-7 lead but the WSU aerial attack came to life in the 4th quarter as the Cougars scored 21 points. Final score 38-28 WIN
Colorado State +30.5 @ Utah - Easily the worst pick of the week as Utah went for style points at home crushing CSU 59-6. The Utes had 648 total yards to 213 for the Rams. LOSS
Rutgers +13 @ Pitt. - This one generated a lot of controversy as to whether the Wannstedt rule applies during non-VEGAS BABY weekends. The answer is a definite yes! Not only did Pitt outscore 27-7 in the second half in a 41-21 win but the "spillover" affected the MSU-NW game as well. The powers that be finally relented on the rule violation and allowed MSU to pull out a 4th quarter 35-27 win. The BBofG 2.0 has learned its lesson and will not bet on Pitt and UConn at any time LOSS
For Week 9 - I will go with:
Oklahoma -23.5 vs Colorado - The Sooners return home after a devastating loss to Missouri. OK will come out fired up for the game looking to take the hurt out on someone. Colorado, meanwhile, has lost 3 straight and their starting QB. The Buffs offense was a anemic 74th in the nation with Tyler Hansen at the helm. They will go to
putrid with the Coaches son Cody Hawkins leading the way. This could be over early.
Clemson -7 @ Boston College - BC has relied on its defense to keep it in games since their offense is 112th in
the nation. Now the defense will be hurting after losing 2 starting DBs and a DT. Meanwhile Clemson's offense looks like it is gaining traction in a 27-13 win over GT last week. At 2-5 BC may start packing it in this week.
Miami +2 @ Cincinnati - Miami is 0-3 at home but 3-0 on the road. They will be fired up after a controversial loss to Pitt last week. The Bengal secondary is hurting as Adam "Don't call e Pac Man" Jones was lost for the season and 3 other CBs were limited in practice. Coming into town is Chad Henne (I know - Wolverine) and Brandon Marshall. Cincinnati's has talent but their team chemistry is a mess. Miami will be focused and steal another one on the
road.
For the Point Whore Parlay
La Tech +37 @ Boise State - This one is already in the bag as La Tech covered losing 20-49. The game would have been closer but La Tech went for it on 4th down 3 times inside the BSU 10 coming up with zero points WIN
Washington St + 21 @ Arizona State
UL Monroe +16.5 vs Troy
