Little Giants!!
What a weekend!!!
First MSU makes a legendary OT fake FG to win and then Dantonio has a (mild - if there is such a thing) heart attack. Talk about going from a high to a low.

Meanwhile, UMass scored two 4th quarter TD's to pull within 5 of UM. With 2:05 left the Minutemen's onside kick failed and UM won 42-37. UM was a kick away from pulling another App State meltdown.

That's why I love College football (well not the heart attack). Never know what's going to happen next.

On a weekend where the favorites covered nearly 2/3 of the games going 31-21-1 in college football - the Big Book of Guesses 2.0 struggled and went 23-29-1. But with the revamped Betting Allocator Doofus in place the Mega
Bets went 2-1 overall (2-0 NCAAF and 0-1 pros) as:

Alabama -24.0 @ Duke - With Mark Ingram back in the fold, Alabama jumped out to a 28-0 first quarter lead and 45-13 at the half. The Tide never looked back as they easily covered the 24 point spread 62-13. WIN

Texas -3.0 @ Texas Tech - Texas jumped to a 14-0 lead in the 1st quarter but a pick six by Texas Tech got them
back into the game. Texas continues to struggle offensively but the defense was great, holding TT to -14 yards rushing. Texas won 24-14 covering the 3 point spread. WIN

J..E..K..Y..L..L.. Jekyll! Jekyll! Jekyll!!
New England -2.0 @ NY Jets - A week after looking terrible in a
in a Monday night loss to Baltimore and "reporter improprieties" the Jets take down the New England Patriots. Down 7-14 in the second quarter, the Jets scored 21 unanswered points and beat the Pats 28-14 while getting 2 points. That's it - I am taking the Jets off my cards for the year. They are way too Jekyll and Hyde.LOSS

On parlay cards 1 loss is as good as 3 so the Point Whore Parlay went 0-3
as:

Ohio State lead 43-0 at the end of 3. A late Ohio TD was not enough as OSU covered the 30 point spread 43-7 LOSS

Maryland stormed back from a 0-28 deficit to cut the lead to 17-28 but a late WV FG clinched the win and 10 point spread 31-28. LOSS

Boise State had over 600 yards of offense and stomped Wyoming 51-6 easily covering the 23.5 point spread. LOSS

The PTZA had a nice week going 4-2 as:
Florida State beat BYU 34-10 besting the 9.5 point spread. WIN
Minnesota scored a TD with 11 seconds left to get a back door cover - losing 21-32 but beating the 13 point spread. WIN
Missouri scored a TD with 52 seconds left to win 27-24 over SDSU but failed to cover the 14 point spread. LOSS
Arizona jumped to a 14 point lead. Iowa rallied and tied it at 27 all but with a TD with 4 minutes left AZ to win outright 34-27 while getting 1.5 points. WIN
Oregon State built a 35-14 lead by the middle of the third quarter but Louisville scored the next two TDS to rally to 28-35 loss covering the 19.5 point spread. LOSS
Stanford lead 41-10 at the half and cruised to a 68-24 win over WtF easily covering the 17 spread. WtF has given up 48 and 68 points the last two weeks. WIN

For the Week 4 MEGA BETS I will take:
North Carolina -2 @ Rutgers: Rutgers is a shell of itself. Though 2-0 they beat Norfolk St and struggled to beat Florida Intl 19-14. FIU outgained the Scarlet Knights 372 yds to 171. Even with half the defense suspended 0 the Heels second string will roll Rutgers

Oklahoma -13.5 vs Cincinnati: Cincy is even a bigger mess than Rutgers having been beaten by Fresno St 28-14 and NC St 30-19. Stoops will have the Sooners fired up after a scare last week against an underrated Air Force Squad. Betting against the Big Least looks like a way to make some easy money this year.\

For the Pros, I will take Green Bay -3 @ Chicago: Jay Cutler has looked good against shaky defenses in Detroit and Dallas. Green Bay is big step up defense and offense wise. Chicago may look sharp early at home on Monday night but Green Bay will take home the win.

For the Point Whore Parlay I will take:
New Mexico St -23 @ Kansas
Miami (OH) -17.5 @ Missouri
Kentucky -14 @ Florida

Slim pickings for the PTZA as there is only two games on tap as:
Notre Dame hosts Stanford as a 5 point dog and
Mississippi hosts Fresno State as a 2.5 point favorite
The Big Flippy is in time out until VEGAS BABY weekend and can't come out to play.

Two Weeks to VEGAS BABY!!!!  GO JUMBO!
