Who let the dogs out? Woof Woof wa Woof
Another slow start for the Mega Bets as:
Georgia Tech -14 @ Kansas - Kansas rebounded from its opening day loss to a Div 1AA school by changing QBs and even "retiring" its AD as they beat a 14 point favorite GT squad 28-25. Apparently Kansas had more than two weeks to prepare for the triple option as they must have been practcing for it all summer even if it meant losing the week before. Meanwhile, The ACC's chances of playing in the National Championship game went down in flames as VT lost to a Div 1AA school and Fla St and Miami got trounced by OK and Ohio St respectively.LOSS

Oklahoma St -13 vs Troy - Oklahoma St overcame a 27-20 half time deficit and barely beat Troy 41-38 failing to cover the 13 point spread. Okla St avoided an outright loss as Troy lost two fumbles inside the Cowboy's 10 yd line in the second half. LOSS
Green Bay -3 @ Philadelphia - On Sunday, the Mega Bets got a win as 3 point favorite Green Bay ran up a 27-10
lead then held on as Philly put Mike Vick in at QB scoring 10 unanswered points before falling 27-20. WIN
Overall the Big Book of Guesses had a solid outing as it went 30-25-0 (27-18-0 in College and 3-7 on the pros). Apparently the Big Book of Guesses 2.0 is working fine - it’s the Doofus allocating the bets that needs fixing. Betting a phantom 1,790 quatloos returned a 1,732 after the spiff but not including another - Point Whore Parlay Win!! as:
Virginia lost 14-17 to an overrated USC squad covering the 20 point spread and overcoming the Pat Time Zone Angle WIN
Kent State lost to Boston College 13-26 covering the 17 point spread in a bad week for the ACC - WIN and
Bowling Green lost to Tulsa 20-33 beating the 16.5 point spread. WIN
The PTZA went 1-4 as:
Wisconsin won 27-13 over San Jose St failing to cover the 37 point spread LOSS
Army lost to visiting Hawaii 28-31 despite being a 3 point favorite LOSS
Per above USC failed to cover against Virginia LOSS
Washington handily beat Syracuse 41-20 besting the 13.5 point line WIN and
Tennessee got man handled by Oregon losing 13-48 despite getting 12.0 points LOSS
Week 2 was full of upsets as evidenced by 4 Div 1AA teams beating Div 1A teams (versus none for all of last year). For Week 3 - the revamped B.A.D. (Betting Allocator Doofus) is going to play the revenge/rebound/away
game angle with:
Texas -3 @ Texas Tech - The last time these two teams met in Lubbock it was a game for the ages when
Michael Crabtree made an heroic catch for TT in a last second miraculous win. Now, two years later TT is lead by a new coach and new system taking on a Texas squad lead by QB Garret Gilbert Grape trying to get the offense untracked. Look for Texas to revenge a return to the scene of the crime which derailed their National Championship hopes two years ago and roll over TT
Alabama -24 @ Duke - Alabama looks to get Heisman trophy winner (and son of MSU alum) Mark Ingram plus DE Marcell Darius back to take on an outmanned Duke squad. Alabama has yet to let up a TD this year. Duke may score a TD but it won't be nearly enough.
For the pro game I'll take - New England -2 @ NY Jets - Despite winning the turnover battle 3-1 the Jets could garner only 9 points against the Ravens on Sunday. Jet QB Mark Sanchez looked pedestrian when trying to lead a late score to win The Jets tied a franchise low 6 first downs for the game. Meanwhile, New England returned to Super Bowl form. Opening a 31-3 lead on the Bengals, the Pats coasted to a 38-24 win. New England is 8-1 ATS in the Meadowlands.
For the Point Whore Parlay I'll take -
Ohio -30 @ Ohio State
Maryland -10 @ West Virginia
Wyoming -23.5 vs Boise State
The PTZA has
Fla State -9.5 vs BYU
Minnesota +13 vs USC
Missouri -14 vs San Diego St Spaztecs
Arizona +1.5 vs Iowa
Oregon State -19.5 vs Louisville
Stanford -17 vs Wake Forest
Meanwhile the Big Flippy has yet to come out to play this year
Three weeks to VEGAS BABY!!
GOJUMBO!!
