A fine week of football!
The Spartans not only won the coveted Brass Spatoon but wrapped up the Legends Division also. MSU will be in the very first Big Ten Championship Game on December 3rd. Plans are already in place to host a blow out party for the Whiskey Swilling Cigar Chomping Football Society in the Man Cave (subject to approval from the head of the Doofus household of course)
Overall the Big Book of Guesses went slightly less than par at 41-44-3 but the Doofus went 3-0!!
Week 12 Mega Bet Recap:
Penn State @ Ohio State under 38.0 - Got lucky on this one. Both teams started out by running up the score. By halftime the score was 20-14. I figured this one was toast as one more TD would get the over. Midway through the 3rd quarter Penn State had 1st and goal at the OSU 2 but the Bucknuts held and the under was still in play. The teams then spent the rest of the game starting deep in their own territory - driving to midfield and punting. Amazingly no points were scored in the second half. Final Score - the same 20-14 WIN
Kansas State +8.0 @ Texas - Texas' defense was great - holding KSU QB Casey Klein to 4 yds and the Wildcats to 121 yards total. But Klein made just enough plays to win. Texas's offense still stinks. Look for a few more unders on Texas. Final Score KSU 17 Small Horns 13. And taking the Money line at +260 was like getting 2 Mega Bets for the price of one! WIN

New England -14.5 vs Kansas City - Easy pickings here. The Pats started out slow - trailing 3-0 until 4 minutes left in the first half. But then they blew the doors off the hapless Chiefs. The Pats are kicking it in just in time for the playoffs. Final score Pats 34 Squaws 3 WIN That should get the Butt Rubbing Monkey off my ass for a little while.

Week 13 Mega Bets Part 1
San Francisco @ Baltimore under 39.0 - Thanksgiving is all about the family. The Harbaugh brothers will spend Thanksgiving trying to beat each other into a pulp. Sounds like my childhood. The Harbaugh Bowl features two good defenses with OK offenses. San Francisco got jobbed by the NFL schedulers having to travel 3 time zones east with 3 days to prepare. The Niner offense should come out flat. Baltimore QB Joe Flacco is up and down. Last week he was up against Cincinnati clocking a 105.5 QB rating. This week will be a down week forcing Baltimore to get more out of Ravens RB Ray Rice. Rice had 104 yds last week but SF is number 1 against the run, The Niners have gone 23 straight gaes without allowing a 100 yard runner. Sit back and have that fourth piece of Punkin' pie and watch some old fashioned run first defense first NFL football.
