Float like a butterfly - piss like a bee
Had a choice to make this weekend - whether to go to the Iron Bowl (Alabama @ Auburn) or an Old Fashioned Hate (Georgia at Georgia Tech).
Being a good Dad, I gave the oldest son the Iron Bowl tickets and watched the game in the Flats. Both home teams lost but still a great weekend of College Football.
Speaking of which - the Doofus was on fire last weekend going 3-1 on the Mega Bets and 3-0 on the Mini Megas. Too bad last weekend wasn't the GO JUMBO weekend. I would have cleaned up. Of course - my personal effects would have be strewn across the front lawn when I got home but that's another story for another day.
It's Championship Weekend with the MAC, CUSA, Pac 12, Big Ten, ACC, SEC and for all intents and purposes the Big 12 all putting on championship games. I'll be watching the games with the Whiskey Swilling Cigar Chomping Football Society in the newly heated Man Cave. Good times will be had by all!
And I will be rooting for
Week 14 Championship Weekend Mega Bets:
Baylor -3.0 vs Texas - Rumors circulate that Texas HC Mack Brown will step down after the season. I think Mark is the source of the rumors. Texas continues to flounder while Baylor will give them a whoppin' while they still can. Bears QB Robert Griffin III is expected to play after suffering a concussion last week. Baylor is giving three equal to the home field advantage - which means these teams are supposedly equal. Don't believe it - Baylor is playing much better than Texas right now. I'll lay the points.

Oklahoma State -3.5 vs Oklahoma - The last time the OSU beat Oklahoma was 2002 (coached by Les Miles!) The Pokes will be chomping at the bit to finally beat the Sooners. Another close spread which mirrors the home field advantage. I'll lay the 3.5 and hope I don't get killed by the hook.
New England - 20.5 vs Indianapolis - I'm doing this one since I've never laid 20+ points on a pro game. As massive as the spread it's not the highest ever. That would be SF being favored by 23.5 against Cincinnati in 1993. The Niners didn't cover - winning 21-8. In fact, since 1989 the 20+ point favorites have gone 2-7. Screw it - I'll go against the odds and take the still improving Pats and lay the points. Might have to rely on the Pats back up QB Brian Hoyer (Michigan State) to get the cover.
Mini Megas - Not ready to be full time Mega Bets
San Francisco -13.0 vs St Louis - Playing the bounce back angle here. SF is coming off a tough loss on Turkey Day. With the extra time to stew over their defeat the Niners defense will keep the Rams putrid offense to under 10 points. Lay the points and this should be in the bag by half time.
Houston -13.0 vs Southern Miss - Houston and QB Case Keenum are on a mission. Their offense is destroying every defense in their path. With the national stage all to themselves at Noon the Cougars will make one last attempt to nab a BCS berth by blowing out a solid Southern Miss squad.
Va Tech -7.0 @ Clemson - Going with the revenge angle here. Back in week 5 Clemson put a beat down on the Hokies 23-3. Since then Va Tech has steadily improved while Clemson continues to regress. Va Tech will once again show who is the class of the ACC in a blow out.
I'll go with an over under parlay with:
Georgia LSU over 46.0
Wyoming Colorado State over 50.5
Nevada Idaho over 55.5
