And the turnout is going strong. We started out last night going to an outdoor patio bar. We knew we were going to spend a lot of time in the SuperBook, so it was a chance to get some fresh air (sadly it was cigar free despite Hugh’s assurances that we could light up) and retell some great old stories. Jim’s bachelor party was a dandy.

Bryce Love looks like his is back. He scored 3 TDs vs U Dub My Mini Megas went down in flames. In fact, it was so bad that I was rooting against myself in the fourth quarter. The theory being – get the bad luck out of the way on Friday so there will be plenty of good luck left on Saturday.
It was working too. C’mon Stanford – do a pick six. The Cardinal pick it and run it to the one. They punch it in on the next play. Close enough.
UNLV goes on a long run. C’mon ref call a need a penalty. Out comes the flag for holding. I was having much better luck rooting against myself than I ever did rooting for my bets. Maybe I should……No that will never work.
So it’s the usual degenerates down in the book early. Pat has one table. He won another over last night. Guy is on a roll. Joe was down here already. He saved a table but after a bout of freeps, we decided to move over.
Woz got here. He won a BBall bet when the Celtics came from 16 down to win and cover. Using your luck up early Woz watch out.
So not it’s time for the bets for real. None of its just for practice. Hard earned, well not that hard earned, cash is on the line. And nothing really jumps out at me.
I was thinking of taking SMU getting 4.5 @ Navy but Joe pointed out that it’s veteran’s Day. Not a good day to bet against the service academies.
In fact, I decided to do a Service Academy Parlay with
Army +3.5 vs Duke
Navy -3.0 vs SMU
Air Force -2.5 vs Wyoming
I wasn’t going to bet on State getting 17.0 but memories of the Nebraska debacle and a double Mega still haunt me. But I think I will take them on the moneyline at +575. The question last night was for how much. I even contemplated a triple mini. Never done a triple anything. Maybe.
