Good times were had with Chris and the gang at East Beach Command. Plenty of overserved coeds, one nearly walked into Chris' car on his way to the festivities. We also did a couple of tours of East Beach for some eye candy pleasure during breaks in the games. Great time
The investing continues to be underwhelming. Last week I went 0-2 on ML upsets and 0-2 on the parlays. Some team always poops in the punchbowl. Last week it was Oklahoma (by Kansas and MSU HC candidate Lance Leopold) and North Carolina by Georgia Tech. The Sax Man is begging me to bet against the Bees on a parlay, They are 2-0 in that scenario.
But I won't do it. In fact, no more parlays. I've learned my lesson. Even with tickets featuring all big favored teams, there's an upset lurking in there somewhere.
Therefore, in the last week of tune up investments before the big Go Jumbo weekend here's the investments:
Missouri +15.0 @ Georgia - Last week, I got only one prediction correct, the one I didn't wager on Georgia to cover vs Florida. This week I'll take the opposite side and wager against Georgia.
Mizzou has one of the best WR corps in the country, a bit of a weak spot for UGA. The Dawgs are coming off a huge rivalry game and could be a bit flat, while the Tigers are coming off a bye.
This is going to be a fun game with both teams are going to go blow to blow for an entire 60 minutes. The winner of this game has the inside track to the SEC game in Atlanta.
Missouri will hang around until the end and make it close. I'll put a quatloo and take the points. You might want to take a look at the over 55.5 too

Washington -3.0 @ USC - A Heisman trophy playoff game with the reigning champ Caleb Williams going against this year's favorite Michael Penix.
USC's defense would struggle against a team with Pete at QB. How will they stop Penix and the most explosive offense in the land. USC is about to mail in the rest of the season while Washington is looking to play in the CFP.
I'll take the Huskies and lay the FG. I'm staying away from the over of 77.5 though. USC just seems to be struggling too much to hold up their end ot the spread.
Alabama -3.0 vs LSU - Last year, well just watch the end of one of the best games of the year

An OT win by the Tigers! Great game. And these teams love OT, five of the last 18 games went into extra innings.
Bama QB Jalen Milroe is going to have a field day against LSU's pathetic secondary. Of the top 200 graded cornerbacks and safeties in PFF's database, LSU does not list a single player.
Alabama's defense is has come on strong this year. They have the top-ranked secondary in coverage grading and a top-10 pass rush in the front seven.
The better team in a revenge game at home. I love those spots. Put me in for a Mini Mega
James Madison ML @ Georgia State - I'm still pulling for JMU's Curt Cignetti to be on the MSU HC short list. In 13 years as a HC he has never had a losing season. He's 8-0 this year and ranked 23rd.
This game is a clash of strength on strength: Georgia State loves to pound the rock and James Madison has one of the best run defenses in the country, bar none. Duke edge rusher Jalen Green is the best pass rusher in the country; his 15.5 sacks clears the field by 3.5. His success is helped by Sr nose guard James Carpenter, who clogs the middle and opens up the pass rushing lanes.
The spread is 5.5 which is a bit much for me so I'll just take the money line for a quatloo. Both teams play at a rather slow tempo and struggle to pass so the under 53.0 might be of interest.
Some other games of interest but I will not be investing in
Army @ Air Force under 32.0 - It's pure treason to take the over on a Commander in Chief Game. Air Force can score but not Army. Dwink has faith in his Cadets. I don't
Oklahoma -5.5 @ Oklahoma State - Is this the last Bedlam ever? The saying goes, anything can happen in Bedlam, Oklahoma can win by a little, or it can win by a lot. Oklahoma is 90-19-7 in the series.
Kansas State +4.5 @ Texas - Five teams are 4-1 in the Big 12. The winner has an inside track to Arlington. KSU's offense is peaking at just the right time. Texas is playing a backup QB
Notre Dame -3.5 @ Clemson - Is this a classic buy low spot for Clemson. They need this game to stay above .500. Nah, the Domers have a far superior QB and running game. Hard to believe but Dabo looks to get on the hot seat.
Georgia Tech +1.5 @ Virginia - It's the "We beat North Carolina" playoff game. Georgia Tech has developed a bizarre strikes-and-gutters pattern, alternating wins and covers as underdogs with losses as favorites each of the past five weeks. The Jackets are the underdog so a strike this week?
Fresno State -2.5 vs Boise State - The winner likely squares off against Air Froce for the MWC championship. Boise's star RB Ashton Jeanty was in street clothes at the end of last weeks game with a lower body injury.
Bronco QB Taylen Green won't be able to pick up the slack, he has just six passing touchdowns and has thrown five interceptions.
Remember - the 2023 GO JUMBO trip is next week!!!! I'll see you at the Westgate SuperBook
And don't forget your drink coupons!
