The Cats took control late - you knew they would After last weeks teaser slate – it’s time for the full roll out of College Football!
I got off to a good start, taking Northwestern and the money line at +340. After the Cats took the lead going into the 4th quarter even the announcers knew that Frost would choke in a close game and that was the Cats strategy all along,
They were right. The Huskers failed miserably down the stretch (again!) and Northwestern had the pleasant flight back from Dublin.
Plenty of great games and investing opportunities this week starting some nice action on Thursday and Friday:
Michigan State -22.0 vs Western Michigan – Wow, that’s way too many points for the Spartans in an opener. Really when is the last time State blew out a team in game 1. The last time State won by 22 or more points was in 2017 against a 2-10 Bowling Green team. Otherwise, you have to go all the way back to 2010 against Western no less for a 22 point win over an FBS team to start the season.

West Virginia +7.5 @ Pitt – The Backyard brawl is back for another season!
Pitt lost quarterback Kenny Pickett to the NFL and “traded” WR Jordan Addison to USC for QB Kedon Slovis. The defense returns seven starters that gave up only 23.6 PPG a game last year.
West Virginia’s will need to rebuild it’s defense as it returns only three starters. The offense will also start a USC transfer, QB JT Daniels. The Neers also nabbed his OC from the Trojans too - Graham Harrell.
It’s a rivalry game so I’ll take the points but no quatloos. Too many questions marks at WVU form me to take the plunge.
I don’t bet on Spartan games and no way am I laying that many points. Just get the win.

Purdue rolled over team down the stretch last season Purdue +3.5 vs Penn State – An early B10 showdown. Both are very dark horses to win their divisions but need a week 1 win to stay in the hunt.
You know what the Boilers are going to do – wing it all over the yard and keep defenses on their heels. Penn State has the secondary and LB corps to corral the Boiler passing game.
For all the talent Penn State supposedly has, they are 11-11 (8-10 B10 games) over the last two years. QB Sean Clifford is inconsistent and HC James Franklin has lost his coaching chops.

Did I underestimate the Fat Man's coaching ability? Illinois -2.0 @ Indiana – Maybe I underestimated the Fat Man Bret Bielema. They looked like an overall solid well coached team, pounding Wyoming 38-6 last week.
