The Big Guy is liking Maui. We are too! The Doofus clan has descended on Maui! Mrs. Doofus is here along with the Swag Man, Big Guy, Dr Big Guy, Doofus Daughter #1 along with her husband The Grill Master. It’s going to be a great 10 days with the cabanas already rented for, not one, but two football Saturdays.
Should be interesting to see who makes it up for the Noon games since they start at 6:00 am local. The Swag Man and I just might have to pull some all nighters.
The kids are going to do all kinds of activities like the Road to Hana and snorkeling. Mrs. Doofus and I will be holding down the fort drinking maitais on the beach. Mick Fleetwood has a place in the village. He’s known to stop by on occasion so we will be checking that out too.
As far as last week - in a wacky year, playing money line parlays has been a killer. I went 11-7 on parlays last week with the seven losses blowing up all five parlays.
The Stanford OT win over Oregon was a great game but was a killer – sorry about that Mrs. H. She was quite happy. I was a little curt.
I was thinking off dropping a quatloo on your Cardinal this week to make amends - but not against Arizona State. Maybe next week against Washington State.
I will put a quatloo for you on a parlay with Mizzou giving 19.0 versus North Texas. The Mean Green are not so mean, kinda nice actually.

The Iowa defense is good enough to make the CFP. The offense - not so much So better to stay with single game picks that way one weird upset doesn’t blow up all the good picks. I went 7-2 on single game picks last week (including a pool at the Swag Mans place of employment) for an overall profit for the week.
I’m still going to do a couple parlay just for fun but mix more single game wagers. Just like other types of investing – there’s nothing like diversification!

I'm done underestimating UGA #13 Arkansas +6.0 @ #17 Ole Miss – It’s for third place in the SEC. Bama and Georgia are making their reservations for Atlanta as we speak while these two hold out hope that it could be a three team SEC playoff. It won’t, but if there was, this would be the play in game.
Both teams are coming off tough losses. Arkansas couldn’t stay within 18 of Georgia last week, few teams can, costing me a parlay. Mississippi couldn’t stay within 14 of Bama, A&M will try this week.
These two are pretty evenly matched so, all is forgiven Arkansas, I’ll put a quatloo on you and the points. Put me down for another quatloo on the under.

ECU is still the same – great offense, lousy defense. Good enough offense to cover 10 points though. I’m in for a quatloo.
UConn -3.0 vs UMass – Neither team hasn’t won since Covid was still brewing in some Chinese laboratory. UConn is at least making games interesting with close losses to Wyoming and Vandy. UMass just sucks.
