There's no distractions. No wild parties, no trips to the Island and the days of kids soccer are long gone. It will be just me on the Doofus Deck watching at least three games at a time prepping for Vegas. Might have some adult beverages too.
And with my pretend wagers in hand I'll be watching plenty of games - starting with the Noon ET games
Texas +2.5 vs Oklahoma - The Red River Shootout is nothing more than a play in game for the B12 championship game now - at best. Both teams have at least one loss already and the loser will be out of the running.
The Big 12 should be relegated to the Group of Five (Six). No one is worthy of making the CFP.
As far as the game itself, I'll take Texas with the more experienced QB to win outright. No quatloos. In fact the Big 12 is unbettable this year except betting against Kansas. I'll watch the game out of tradition but it will be in the smallest TV.

Florida -6.5 @ Texas A&M - Let's see of I have this right. A&M barely beat a bad Vandy team in week 1 and then got boat raced by Bama last week - and they are still ranked? The last time A&M beat an SEC team with a winning record was a wacky 74-72 win over LSU back in 2018.
The A&M defense allowed 544 yards last week to Bama and the secondary is getting torched for nearly 300 yards per game. The last nine SEC wins for the Gators have been for a TD or more. Make it 10 in a row for a Mega Bet. And yes, this will be on the main TV.
Starting at 3:30 there's -
Georgia -12.5 vs Tennessee - Is Tennessee back? They own the longest Power 5 winning streak at seven games. A win between the hedges would throw a monkey wrench in the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party deciding the SEC East.
The Vols have done it with a dominant OL and punishing running game. But they haven't played anyone anywhere near the talent level of Georgia. As long as the Dawgs are focused after a huge win over Auburn, UGA should win easily. I'll wager a Mini Mega on it

Arkansas +13.5 @ Auburn - Will Auburn bounce back after getting gut punched by Georgia last week or will they UGA beat them twice? And is Arkansas as good as the team that beat a ranked Mississippi State or as bad as the one that lost 37-10 to Georgia?
Arkansas is better than they have been in years but not to the level of the Tigers. The Hog OL is solid but not enough to push around Auburn. Good enough to keep a bit closer than the Big Guy wants though. I'll take the points but no quatloos. The under 47.5 is worth a quatloo though.
Pitt -6.0 @ Boston College - Pitt lost outright to NC State as a 2 TD favorite. Now they travel to Boston to face an Eagle team that hung tough against #12 North Carolina. Pitt under Duzzi is no bet for me. They can look great one week and awful the next. They are due for a great week so I'll pick the Panthers but no quatloos.

And then come the prime time games!
Notre Dame -20.5 vs Florida State - This used to a game with national implications. Now it's an indictment of how far FSU has fallen. The Noles barely beat 1AA Jacksonville State last week and will be starting their 3rd QB in four weeks.
ND hasn't played in three weeks and may struggle a wee bit early but then the defense will take over and easily crush FSU. I'll lay the points and put a Mega Bet on it.
Clemson -14.0 vs Miami (FL) - It's likely a preview of the ACC Championship game. Miami's D'Eriq King has been phenomenal so far this year. His 736 passing yards, 6 TDs and no picks has the Canes in the national conversation.
But he is going to be running for his life Saturday night. Clemson has the second most sacks in the ACC while Miami has given up the second most.
The ACC needs a challenger to Clemson but they wont get it this weekend. The spotlight will be too big for the Canes as the Tigers roll. I'll lay a Mega Bet on it.

LSU -14.5 @ Missouri - With Hurricane Delta ravaging the Louisiana coast this game was moved to Mizzou. The point spread dropped from 20.5 to a more manageable 14.5.
LSU bounced back from an opening loss to Mississippi State and routed Vandy 41-7. Mizzou is 0-2 after getting crushed by what could be an overrated Tennessee 35-12.
I'll take LSU to cruise through a soft Mizzou run defense for an easy cover. I'll put a Mini Mega on it.
Pittsburgh -7.0 vs Philadelphia - Only one significant bet on the pros this week. Big Ben is going to torch a depleted Eagle secondary. I'll lay thpoints and place a Mini Mega on the Steelers.
