We are all headed down to Village Command for a wild celebration. It's Doofus Daughter #2 and self proclaimed Favorite Prettiest Daughter, Called it!' birthday. Amazingly, she did not call favorite child, just favorite daughter so Favorite Son is still up for grabs. I'll leave to the winner if they want to add any other attributes to the moniker.
Plenty of partying and reindeer games are on tap for what should be a wild time.
Of course, the family is made up of football fans so Saturday will be chock full of football watching including the biggest game of the weekend.
Auburn +6.5 @ Georgia - The Big Guy and Dr. Big Guy recommended that we have separate watch parties for the game. Good idea. They will be rooting on their Tigers while the Saxy Lady is fired up for her Dawgs. It's a matchup of two Top 10 teams and the hootin' and hollerin' will be intense.
The Sax Man is wisely staying quiet. I'm open for bribes on who to root for. A single batch Irish will get the bidding started.

It will be the second straight ranked team Auburn has faced after taking down #23 Kentucky last week. Like just about everyone this season, the Tigers got off to a slow start and lead just 15-13 after three quarters. But Kentucky screwed up twice inside their 30 twice on the fourth quarter, one a fumble the second a dumb fake punt, leading to two Tiger TDs.
QB Bo Nix continues to be careful with the ball. He's thrown a school record 218 straight passes without a pick. He's developing a rapport with three NFL-caliber receivers Seth Williams, Anthony Schwartz, and Eli Stove.
Georgia meanwhile has a brewing QB controversy. D’Wan Mathis struggled against Arkansas and was replaced by Stetson Bennett. He was solid, throwing for 211 yards and two touchdowns. Now USC JT Daniels has been medically cleared to play to throw another wrinkle in the quarterback mix.The defense was a rock, forcing three turnovers including a pick six.
I'm sticking with picking the lower ranked team and taking the points. No quatloos though unless the bidding gets frothy. I will put a quatloo on the under 44.5. Neither team has shown the ability to run the ball and the defenses are stout.

Should make for a great game to end the night.
Before the Big Event, there are some other games of note including:
Alabama -18.0 vs Texas A&M - In the only other matchup up of ranked teams, I'm going against my rule and dropping a quatloo on the Tide. A&M was awful in escaping Vandy last week. They coughed it up three times and committed eight penalties, needing a late fourth quarter pick to nail down the win 17-12.
On the other hand Bama sprinted to a 35-6 halftime lead over a similarly outclassed foe before coasting to a 38-19 win over Mizzou. Tuscaloosa is a nasty place to try and get your game back on. The Tide will get up early again and coast to an easy win.
Just one College Mega Bet this week

Va Tech -11.5 Dook - Duke is just plain ptitful this year. They have lost three games by at least 14 points. And it's going downhill fast. Last week, Duke turned it over seven times in 38-20 loss to UVA. The week before they coughed it up five times in losing to BC 26-6
Va Tech beat NC State 45-24 despite missing 23 players and 4 coaches to the Covid. There's no word on how many players will be out this week but Va Tech is playing with grit while Duke is waiting for basketball to tip off.
I'll drop a few quatloos on good teams covering against really bad teams.
Cincinnati -22.0 vs USF - The Bulls couldn't move the ball against Citadel, how are they going anywhere versus Cincy's great defense
Oklahoma State -21.5 @ Kansas - Kansas can't stop the run. Chubba Howard is going to go off like a Saturn V.
Pittsburgh -14.0 vs NC State - Pitt has a huge edge in the trenches. NC State is 1-7 ATS and lost their last five ATS on the road.
LSU -21.0 @ Vanderbilt - The Tigers got their wake up call last week. They won't turn it over like A&M did last week against Vandy.
I'll also do a Point Whore Parlay with:
TCU +11.5 @ Texas
UT San Antonio +20.5 @ UAB
Virginia +28.0 @ Clemson

an the pros I'm going with:
Cleveland +4.5 @ Dallas - Dallas is overrated. They are 0-3 ATS and should be 0-3 SU if it weren't for the worst ever special teams gaffe by the Falcons. Sure they looked good against Seattle late but that is after CB Jamal Adams went down in the second half. Cleveland's secondry is healthy.
Baker, Jarvis and Odell are going to torch the pitiful Dallas secondary for an outright win.
Green Bay -7.0 vs Atlanta - The Falcons will get this thing turned around. Just not this week, against Rodgers in FU mude, in Lambeau on Monday Night. Rodgers smoked the Lions 42-21. Should be around the same score.
