The ACC and the Big 12 have had the Big Boy stage all to themselves this year. The Big 12 tripped all over the appendages while the ACC has kept their best teams under wraps playing USF and Citadel.
Now the SEC comes onto the stage. No cupcakes, the schedule is all SEC all the time starting with:

Alabama -27.5 @ Missouri - Since St Nick was hired in 2007, the Crimson Tide hasn't gone three years in a row without a title. Bama is 13-0 in week 1 games under Saban and hasn't lost an opener since 2001. It's not like they are playing cupcakes either.
2012 Bama 42 Michigan 14
2013 Bama 35 Va Tech 10
2014 Bama 33 WVU 23
2015 Bama 35 Wisconsin 17
2016 Bama 52 USC 6
2017 Bama 24 FSU 7
You get the idea. Saban has his teams prepared at the start of the season.
Missouri kicks off the season with a new HC - Eliah Drinkwitz era. They are also breaking in a new QB.
It’s hard enough going into a season with a new head coach and new quarterback It’s even harder when you have to face a motivated Crimson Tide team. I'll lay the points for a quatloo.
Be careful though. Even though 88% of the bets are on Bama the line dropped from 28.5 to 27.5 which means the sharps are backing Mizzou.

Georgia -27.5 @ Arkansas - UGA will be facing some familiar foes when they travel to Arkansas. Not only is the new HC Sam Pittman the former OC for Georgia, but Arkansas' QB will be former Gator Felipe Franks.
Arkansas also brought in new OC Kendal Briles along with his up tempo offense and tarnished reputation.
UGA has a new OC too, former USM HC Todd Monken. They also start a new QB, we just don't know who yet. Also missing is star RB D'Andre Swift now dropping winning TD passes for the Lions.
Both teams are trying to find new players in new systems but Arkansas was the worst defense in the SEC last year while Georgia had the best.
I'll take the Dawgs and lay the points but no quatloos.

Kentucky +8.0 @ Auburn - Tiger QB Bo Nix wants to build on a pretty good first year. His is careful with the ball. Last year he set a school record streak of 191 thrown passes without an interception, the second-best active streak nationally behind Trevor Lawrence (276).
But he will be playing with plenty of new faces. Auburn returns only three offensive starters and four defensive starters back from last year, including losing 3 first round draft picks, DT Derrick Brown, CB Noah Igbinoghene and DE Marlon Daivdson.
Kentucky was devastated at QB last year, being forced to start Lynn Bowden Jr. No wonder they finished 127th in passing. This year Terry Wilson, who was the expected starter last year returns after missing 11 games. They also added Auburn transfer Joey Gatewood for some depth and insight in the Tiger attack.
Kentucky returns eight starters on offense and seven on defense. There's an old strategy that you take the lower rated team when two ranked teams play so I'll take the Wildcats to pound away on the ground and keep it close. No quatloos though.

Mississippi State +16.5 @ LSU - The Pirate comes to the Bayou!
LSU is retooling after Joe Burrow took his Heisman and moved on to the NFL. In all, LSU sent 14 players to the NFL. Plus, reigning Biletnikoff Award winner Ja'Marr Chase and standout defensive tackle Tyler Shelvin opted out of the season last month to focus on next year's NFL Draft.
LSU may be retooling but MSU is overhauling its offense. Mississippi State that will be playing it's first game with Mike Leach's newly installed Air Raid attack. He didn't come empty handed bring along QB Stanford grad transfer KJ Costello to get thing going.
There's too many new pieces to really get a grasp on how this will play out. I'll take the Bulldogs and the points but no quatloos.
Florida -14.0 @ Mississippi - The Pirate is not the only newcomer to the Magnolia State. Ole Miss is giving Lane Kiffen another chance to be an SEC coach. And he brought Dick Rod and his spread offense with him.
They will likely be switching between two QBs. Sophomores Matt Corall is the better passer but freshman John Rhys (Don't call me Chumlee) Plumlee is better at running Dick Rods offense.
The new offense won't get much chance to get settled in. Last year, Florida’s defense led by DC Todd Grantham finished ninth in the nation and seventh in scoring defense on the strength of a great pass-rush and strong secondary. The defense lost a few players to the NFL but there is still enough returning talent on that side of the ball to make Florida one of the nation’s best defenses once again in 2020.
Florida is looking to upend Georgia's three year reign as SEC East champs. That will be settled on Nov 7th but in the meantime Florida stays in the hunt with an easy win over the Fighting Kiffens. I'll lay the points for a quatloo

Tennessee -3.5 @ South Carolina - Let's see, South Carolina lost five of their last six on the way to a 3-9 season. Tennessee won seven of their last eight including a bowl win to go 8-5
Don't outthink it. These teams are headed in opposite directions. I'll take the Vols for a Mini Mega.
Another team will be playing it's first game but not due to the schedule.
Baylor -16.5 vs Kansas - Hurricane Laura cancelled Baylor's first game against La Tech only to have its next game against Houston cancelled due to Covid.
With Matt Rhule is now roaming the sidelines for Carolina, Baylor kicks off the Dave Aranda era. He's familiar with his opponent. Kansas HC Les Miles hired Aranda as defensive coordinator at LSU in 2016. Miles was dismissed four games into that season, and Aranda remained for four seasons, culminating with last season's national championship.
Aranda inherits a defense that finished last season 19th in the country in points allowed 7th in sacks and 2nd in turnovers forced. The offense returns QB Charlie Brewer. All he did last year was throw for 3,161 yards and 21 TDs while adding 344 yards and another 11 TDs on the ground.
That should be more than enough to cover versus Kansas. They stink. They lost to a mediocre at best Coastal Carolina 35-23. They started our down 28-3 before making it a "close" loss. If they get down like that again they won't recover. I'll put a Mini Mega on it.

Army +13.5 @ Cincinnati - It's the first time these two have faced each other with either being ranked let alone both. So far both have looked fantastic beating up the sisters of the poor.
I'll stick with taking the lower ranked team when two ranked teams faced each other and take #22 Army and the points over #14 Cincinnati for a quatloo.
Louisville +3.0 @ Pittsburgh - There's one final matchup of ranked teams when #24 Louisville visits #21 Pitt. Pitt has taken down Austin Peay and Syracuse, big whoop, while Louisville was smacked around by Miami (FL)
Sticking with the mantra. I'll take Micale Cunningham to have a field day against an untested Pitt defense for a quatloo.
Miami (FL) -11.0 vs Florida State - Normally I would be cautious taking a team coming off a big win but this is a rivalry game. Miamis's offense is humming while FSU couldn't get anything going against Ga Tech. Any magic HC Mike Norvell brought to the program is in quarantine as he got the Covid.
I'll bet on another great day from D'Eriq King and lay the points for a Mega Bet
Trend bettors note that FSU is 1-5-1 ATS over their last seven road games while Miami (FL) is 4-1 ATS over their last five ACC games.

Arizona -5.5 vs Detroit - I'll keep Mega Betting against Detroit until they can show they can play professional level football.
New Orleans -3.0 vs Green Bay - Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay have looked fantastic beating up two of the worst defenses in the NFL. The hype is getting a wee bit too big.
I'll take a competent Saints defense looking to rebound off a loss to Las Vegas for a Mini Mega.
Tampa Bay -5.5 @ Denver - Brady continues to develop on his rapport with his WRs and this week gets Chris Godwin back.
I'll lay the points against a Denver team using backup QB Jeff Driskel. Put me down for a Mini Mega

And some late breaking news - the PAC 12 is going to join the fun. Starting Nov 6th, they will play a seven game schedule, just in time to make the playoffs.
Not to be left behind, the Mountain West decided to join in too. They will play an eight game schedule starting Oct 24th.
