Well the Big Ten decided to continue to fumble the 2020 season by reversing a reversal of a decision and play. Make sense? Not to me either.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we are going to play but nothing has changed that much that the could not have already kicked off 2020 already. The protocols are correct with constant and rapid testing but those were pretty much available a month ago.
As always, money talks. It's not like we are all of a sudden that much safer than we were a month ago. It's that the donors finally put enough pressure on the Universities to get things going again. And with the heat on, the Presidents came up with way to start playing while looking like they had put players safety first all the while. No one saw through that.
Game on Big Ten. You make like like clowns for how you handled this but you are our clowns.
College football heads into week 3 with the warm up teams still on the stage for the most part. The ACC has some interesting matchups but until Clemson takes on someone with a pulse, we are going to have to wait until the SEC starts up before the curtain rises for the big name acts.

I'll be in Village Command this weekend with Nick. The party has already started!
And while the wives will be having long rambling entertaining conversations Nick and I will be watching:
Louisville -2.5 @ Miami (FL) - This could be the most entertaining game of the weekend. Both teams are coming off blow out wins (and covers) over subpar opponents. The offenses are dynamic led by star quarterbacks. Last week, Miami's D'Eriq King threw for 144 yards and a TD to go along with 83 yards rushing and another TD. Louisville's Micale Cunningham out did him by throwing for 334 yards and 3 TD plus another 24 yards rushing and another TD.
Louisville looks to have the more explosive offense, are playing at home and want to avenge last year's 52-27 blowout to the Canes. I'll take the Cards for a quatloo.
Central Florida -7.5 @ Georgia Tech - Jeff Sims became the first Jacket QB to win a season opener as a true freshman. He was electric, though a bit inconsistent in downing FSU, throwing for 277 yards, a TD but 2 picks last week. He added another 64 yards on the ground.
UCF returns the core of their 2nd best offense from last year. Even with 10 players opting out due to Covid, the Knights will still have 67% of their offense production and 75% of their defensive production from last year back on the field.
It will be too much for a young but developing Tech squad. I'll lay the points but no quatloos. The Sax Man and Bruce will have none of that, thank you very much.
Duke -6.0 vs Boston College - Duke was competitive last week in a 27-13 loss to #7 Notre Dame and they have a game under their belt. BC is breaking in a new HC, new QB and trying to replace star RB AJ Dillon.
I'm going with the Devils to cover for a quatloo and taking the under 52.0 for another quatloo. The under is 42-18-2 over the last 62 Duke road games.

UL Lafayette -15.0 @ Georgia State - ULL Is coming off a road win where the defense stuffed Iowa State on the road. This week they stay on the road against a Georgia State team starting a freshman QB. The Panthers are also missing their top two rushers from last season.
Georgia State was one of the worst teams in the nation against the rush last year while ULL had the third best attack based on yards per carry. As long as the Ragin' Cajuns stayed focused they should win in a rout. I'll lay my first college Mega Bet of the season on ULL.
Trend bettors should note that GSU us 1-7-1 ATS as an underdog of 10.5 points or more. ULL is on a 17-7-2 win streak ATS.
NY Giants +5.5 @ Chicago - Chicago's win over Detroit happened when Detroit lost not one, but three CBs. Mitch Trubisky still sucks. The Giants went toe to toe with Pittsburgh and is underrated.
The ancient Adrian Peterson had 93 yards against Chicago last week. Saquon Barkely should do even better.
Trubisky still sucks and the Giants have an underrated defense. I'll lay a Mini Mega on the G-Men.

Kansas City -8.5 @ LA Chargers - Tyrod Taylor vs Patrick Mahomes? That's worth the bet right there. But with KC having to face Baltimore next week they might not be totally focused so I'll keep this one down to a Mini Mega.
Green Bay -6.0 vs Detroit - The Pack is facing a Detroit secondary missing Trufant and Odukah is dinged up. It will be target practice Rodgers.
Detroit is also down too starting OL so Stafford will be under siege all day.
Green Bay won't need a walk off FG to win it, it's going to be a rout early. I'll put a Mega Bet on the Packers.
