Rocky was a load Impressive. That was impressive.
Going into the game I had serious doubts. We were so far down at WR we were scouring Holden Hall looking for players with eligibility. Plus, we were going to start a QB with a total of 2 passes in his career playing behind an offensive line with more injuries than a thirty car pile up on I-75.
Purdue was coming in hotter than Jessica Rabbit (my go to answer to favorite Disney Princess) after beating the Ohio State University with some cancer kid working up the mojo.
I wasn’t taking a look at the pregame write ups and prognostications. I felt it would make me too depressed. Better to wait for a double digit loss and blame the injury bug.

The open field tackling was fantastic I forgot one thing. This is not just a team. Dantonio has built a program. A program that plays great defense, keeps things close and pulls out victories in the end.
That is exactly what happened.
The defense played outstanding with sure tacking. Purdue’s modus operandi is to get the ball out in space to Moore, have him slip a tackle and go the distance. It didn’t happen. The tackling in space was fantastic.
And where are the Dave Warner doubters this week? Go back whatever sewer you crawled out of and SFTU. That was a brilliant display of getting a novice QB ready to play in a desperate situation, give him a playbook he can handle and just win baby. Other than a couple adrenaline induced overthrows, Rocky played superbly.
That is exactly what happened.

There are rumblings about if things go our way we could play in the Big Ten Championship game against Northwestern. I’ll spot you the Cats, they have the inside track after upsetting Becky Badger.
But for us to go requires just the right mix of winning out, 2 scUM losses and I don’t know what else.
Ain’t going to happen. Let’s just win out (OSU suddenly looks a bit vulnerable) and go somewhere warm for the Holidays.
As for the Doofus, the All Quatloo betting style paid off going 9-7 on college, (not including going 2-1 against the Sheriff, time to pick up your game!), just missing a Point Whore Parlay by ½ a point, and 3-2 on the pros.
A slight profit but a profit indeed. Peanut Butter it is when it counts this week.
