Could it get any better? Opening week at Beach Command! Chris has invited the gang and spouses down to his vacation crib for a great weekend of partying and football. It looked like, early on, that we might going into the teeth of a hurricane but the weather seems to be holding and the weather should be quite pleasant.
It's Jordan Mason's time to shine Chris will set up the TVs on the deck and we will get ready for plenty of action!
But, while mentally I’m in the Redneck Riveria, physically I’m still at work. Here’s what I got for the Thursday Games:
Georgia Tech +37.0 @ Clemson – I’m kicking myself. When I was in Vegas in May I put a real live quatloo bet on the Jackets to cover 34.0. Now the spread is up to 37.0. I have to talk to the boss about moving the All Firm meeting to closer to the start of football.
Clemson is really all that this year. They deserve to be heavy favorites.
But 37.0 is a bit much. New Tech HC Geoff Collins is pretty good at setting up defenses. RB Jordan Mason and the Tech secondary will keep the game from getting out of hand. The Sheriff and I agree that its best to take the points in Week 1.
Investors Note: Collins is 14-7-1 ATS while Dabo is 3-3 ATS when laying 30+ points

Kellen Mond will bomb away in a tune up for Clemson Texas A&M -33.5 vs Texas State – But taking the points is more of a guideline that a hard and fast rule. I don’t mind laying points against bad teams and Texas State is a bad team. The Bobcats hae only won 10 games of the past four years.

Darius Bradwell will get things rolling against FIU Tulane -2.5 vs Florida International – The Green Wave kicked it into high gear winning fove of their last six games. The running game averaged 218.2 rushing yards per game (23rd overall) Leading RBs Darius Bradwell (1,134 yds, 11TDs) and Corey Dauphine,(785 yds, 7 TDs) return and will pound away at a Golden Panther defense that was last, last year in the CUSA in sacks. Put a quatloo on the Wave
