It’s finally here. FFDY!!
The fun has already started as the gang has been slowly gathering. Now it’s time! Time to put all these practice picks to the test. Gather up your drink coupons. It’s time for FOOTBALL!
Here are the picks that really, really count this time.
The 2019 Official GO JUMBO College Mega Bets are:
South Carolina -4.5 @ Tennessee – The Cocks beat UGA and just when I thought they had blown their chicken feed on that upset, they turn around and gave Florida all it could handle last week.
Tennessee is a train wreck again this year. And as I remind Pat every year, they suck on GO JUMBO weekend! The Vols are 1-13 ATS when it comes time to lay the official wagers. No reason to think that trend won’t continue.
Arizona State -3.0 @ UCLA – Good teams bounce back. ASU was embarrassed by Utah last week 21-3. They will rebound.
Bad teams rarely put together back to back good games. UCLA beat Stanford 34-16. They won’t repeat that effort.
The Forks have one of the best defenses in the PAC 12 and will shut down Chip Kelly’s futile offense. Meanwhile, Enos Benjaimin will run rampant over the tissue soft Bruin defense.

The Sheriff agrees!
I’ll also be putting down several Mini Megas including:
Notre Dame PK @ scUM – It’s the lesser of two evil empires. scUM doesn’t like getting smacked in the mouth. Domers will smack ‘em
Virginia -3.5 @ Louisville – Louisville’s defense is a sieve. Virginia’s is stout. It will be ugly for the Cavs but the cover late.
Hawaii -9.5 @ New Mexico – Rainbow Warriors will pass all over the shaky Lobo secondary.
LSU -10.5 vs Auburn – Sorry Big Guy, Since the miracle fourth quarter of the Oregon game, Bo Nix has turtled in big games. This is a big game
The Sheriff will be here in spirit with:
Arizona State (-3.5) @ UCLA - This is the Sheriff’s Lock of the Week. Don’t be fooled by UCLA’s win over Stanford last week: beating the most pathetic Cardinal team in 10 years playing a 3rd string QB who couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn and starting 3 freshman O-lineman who couldn’t block Little Sisters of the Poor means absolutely nothing. UCLA will be playing in a half-empty Rose Bowl, most of whose attendees will be Sun Devils’ fans spending a 3-day weekend in the Southland after visiting Disneyland and Universal Studios.
There is a reason UCLA is winless at home this year (besides the obvious reason they suck). Herm Edwards will get his 6th win and ASU will become bowl eligible.
Oregon (-14) vs Wazzu - The Ducks showed some stones in coming from behind in the second half on the road and beating Washington. This might be considered a trap game but the Cougs have had the Duck’s number the last few years so there is no danger of Oregon looking ahead to USC in two weeks. Oregon will get its revenge on Saturday by aggressively covering this number.
San Diego State (-13) @ UNLV - Is it bad luck to bet against the Rebels on GO JUMBO weekend? Don’t know but my money would be on the Aztecs to cover. SDSU is 6-1 and in first place in the Mountain West whereas UNLV is 2-5 and sitting in the cellar.
