And the roller coaster continues. Things looked bleak after the loss to Northwestern. “Would we even make a bowl?” Then after the Penn State win it was ”Do we have a shot at the Big Ten Championship game?” Now it’s back to “Can we even make a bowl?”
Two weeks and two wildly different perspectives on this team. The real answer lays in that it’s a mildly rather average team.
And, am I tired of all the chatter about the pregame antics. That’s all we got? They disrespected the midfield logo and hunkered down when we did our ritual arm and arm walk off the field?

Forget about that already.
The real question to ask your Wolverine coworkers – Do you really think that if Patterson didn’t practice all week with a shoulder injury and quite frankly shouldn’t have played, if you were down your top 5 WRs and were playing walk-ons, if the OL can seem to play the same starting 5 for 2 weeks in a row and your best CB hasn’t played all year – do you really think you would have won.
It’s amazing that we were in the game for as long as we were.

The game was tied until late in the 3rd quarter. And the only reason we had a chance was mental toughness. Playing through adversity. Keep it close and maybe something amazing will happen. It did last week against Penn State and if the injuries hadn’t kept piling up it might have happened again.
Losing Felton and Lewerke with a bum shoulder were a bridge too far. But they kept on plugging away.
It’s that mental toughness that will get us to a bowl game. So, give it a rest about the pregame and needing to fire assistant coaches. And no, Big Brother is not back. scUM got us finally when we were as dinged up as about as bad as a team has ever been.
Focus on what is really happening, one of the best coaching jobs by Dantonio yet. What other Big Ten coach is getting so much out of such a depleted squad.

Johnny E thinks some Mullahs have a fatwah on us. Bastards, rather then send us to heaven with 100 virgins, they blow out our achilles.
As far as the rest of college football, Chris said he was rooting for the Bucknuts over his alma mater Purdue, That didn’t quite work out for him, though the Sheriff is still higher than a Dan in Amsterdam.
My picks are back to the trend through much of the year. Making enough good picks to have a winning week but when I start allocating the bets, the bigger the bet the worse the outcome. In college I went 7-5 overall going 0-2 on the Megas(Dwink apologized for blowing the Army pick but said at least they won - but you got to remember, it's not whether you win or lose, it's whether you cover), 0-1 on the mini mega and 7-2 on the quatloo bets. Weird.
I’m going to make all quatloo bets in Vegas with perhaps one Mega Bet on Bama depending on the spread versus LSU.
