Still Grinning It was going to be a great weekend no matter how the picks went. I was batching it (Mrs Doofus was gone for the weekend) so I got to watch football interrupted - including an impromptu gathering at the Outdoor Ampitheatre to watch State beat scUM.
The last one made the weekend. I’m still grinning.
The fact that the Doofus had yet another winning weekend was pure gravy.
I squeaked out a 2-1 record this weekend on the Mega Bets with:
Miami (FL) -3.0 @ Florida State – After three quarters is was a low scoring game but I was ahead 10-3. Then it was a scoring explosion. Florida State went TD, FG, TD on their next three drives and with a Miami TD mixed in it was 20-17 Noles with 1:24 left. The Canes, with six seconds left pulled out the victory with this great pass

Northwestern +14.0 vs Penn State - The Cats were never in it. At one point, PSU QB Trace McSorley completed 15 straight passes in route to building a 31-0 lead. Northwestern scored a meaningless TD with 1:46 left to make it a 31-7 final LOSS
Purdue -4.0 vs Minnesota - Count your lucky stars Sheriff. Purdue scored a TD with 1:17 left to go up 24-17 and then got a pick six with 10 seconds left to ice it 31-17 WIN
Utah +4.0 vs Stanford - And really count those stars again. Utah scored a TD with 44 seconds left to get the back door cover losing 23-20 but getting the cover - a WIN is a WIN

That said, I think the Bucknuts (and PSU) are going to run up the score in order to polish their playoff resumes. And Oklahoma too for that matter.
