Lots to cover this week before the initial picks of the year later this week. Games kick off this Saturday!
First, I’ve updated the 2017 Bettors Guide. In it are all the 2017 NCAA Div 1A and NFL games, including records against the spread since 2005, scores from last year (revenge games are fun bets) and much much more.
If you go to the page you can download all the College and NFL games this year.
Now, with the GO JUMBO trip being Nov 11th (week 11) how about a quick peek at those games.
Woz and I will be there Thursday to catch North Carolina @ Pitt. We will also be laying bets on a key NFC West game when Arizona hosts Seattle.
On Saturday, the marquee games (and the ones with betting lines already at the Westgate Superbook – more on that later) are:
Of course, the game we will all be watching is Michigan State traveling to the Shoe in Columbus. Last year, the Spartans went for two late in the fourth but failed as the Bucknuts won 17-16. A great game last year. Hopefully there’ll be another one when we all get together.
As much as we would like the prime TV to be on that game, it will likely be on the Clemson @ Florida State game. The winner is expected to have an inside track to the playoffs.
Washington will be hosting Stanford. The Cardinal were crushed by the Huskies last year and will be looking for revenge. Mrs H might want to lay a bet on that game.

There’s going to be another version of Catholics versus Convicts as Miami (FL) travels to South Bend. Joe has a standing rule that bets on the Domers are not allowed. Guess we will have to bet on Mark Richt's Canes.
The Sax Man is thinking about coming. If he does, he can watch his Yellow Jackets travel to Va Tech. The good Tech won last year’s matchup 30-20 as 14 point dogs.
The Big Guy’s Auburn Tigers travel to Athens to face off against Saxy Lady’s rival Georgia Bulldogs. Expect the Sax Man to lay low during that game.
And there will be a key matchup in the Big Ten West when Wisconsin travels to Iowa. Minnesota @ Nebraska could also be a sneaky good game now that PJ Fleck will be guiding the Gophers.
In the Big 12, the headliner matchup will be TCU hosting Oklahoma.
There’s a good revenge game this year. Last year BC upset NC State 21-14 as a 16 point dog. NC State will be looking to revenge that loss at home.
In non Power 5 games, App State travels to Georgia Southern in a key Fun Belt test. In the Mountain West, its Boise State heading to dark horse Colorado State.
On Sunday, the Lions will be favored for the first time in forever when the host Cleveland. Also in the NFC North, Green Bay travels to arch rival Chicago.
The afternoon action has Dallas @ Atlanta and the Sunday night game (for those sticking around to Monday) has New England @ Denver.
Here’s all the College and NFL games scheduled for the GO JUMBO weekend

Lots of great games on tap. Looks like we will have a great crowd too. Woz and I have already made our reservations. Going to be another great time!
Even before the GO JUMBO trip there are plenty of great games. The SuperBook already has lines on the Games of the Year.
Here's all the GOY lines and my picks if I were in Vegas this week. Just seems like there are some spreads that are just too large like
Pitt getting 16 vs Penn State? Utah getting nearly 3 TDs vs USC? Nebraska getting 17.5 vs Penn State? (I'm not sold on Penn State this year to run up large victory margins.) Iowa getting 16.5 vs Nebraksa? TCU getting 15.5 vs Oklahoma? LSU getting 12.5 vs Alabama?
Those spreads just seem too large.
And State is getting a ton of points too. 17.0 vs Michigan? I'll take the good guys. And again when they get 25.5 against Ohio State - GO JUMBO!!!
Here's all the GOY games, spreads and my picks
I'll keep track of the results as the year goes on

And there are a ton of prop bets too. One I find interesting is a bet on the National Championship game. The house takes Alabama, Ohio State and USC you get everyone else for even money. The house is spotting you Clemson, Florida State, Oklahoma amongst others. I'll take the field.
Remember the GO JUMBO trip is Nov 11th at the Westgate Resort
See you there
