PictureGaropollo at home versus Bortles and getting points. That's easy money Doofus kids
The computer is fixed and and the Big Book of Guesses is back up and running.

So far the bowl picks in my pool are going pretty good. The mechanical, mathematical picks are eighth in total points but has shot its wad. Using potential points, it drops to 44th.

The Heart picks are faring much better. It is 36th in points scored and all the way up to 10th in potential points. After today, it could get as high as 5th. Go Hearts!

The Mega Bets have done pretty good as verified by the Doofus kids. I went 5-2 with wins by San Francisco (including side bet wins with the Sax Man and the Swag Man), Saints over Falcons, Redskins over Broncos and a loss on Rams vs Titans.

In the Bowls I went 2-0 with Oklahoma State over Va Tech and NC State over Arizona State. Betting against Herm Edwards and the Forks looks like easy money next year.

Time to get the picks verified by the World Wide Web again.

Today I’m going with

PictureFitzgerald is out. Mullen is gone. I'll take Louisville
Louisville -7.0 vs Mississippi State – Let’s see, it’s Lamar Jackson versus a freshman back up QB that hasn’t started a game for a team that lost it’s head coach.

Sure, rookie Mississippi State QB Keytaon Thompson is an athletic run first type QB but the Louisville defense has been practicing against Lamar for 3 years. This should be a piece of cake.

The Cardinal offense is also familiar with the Bulldog defense too. Former Cardinal defensive coordinator Todd Grantham (and Spartan DL coach under St Nick) left for Mississippi State last year and ran the same defense. Grantham has followed former HC Dan Mullen to Florida. Add to that, current Louisville DC Peter Sirmon worked under Grantham last year as LB coach before coming to Louisville this year.

It’s Lamar’s last chance to show the NFL what he can do. This one has the potential to be a blow out. I’ll take Louisville for a Mega Bet.

PictureAnthony Miller will be gone on day 2 of the draft
Iowa State +3.5 vs Memphis – 2017 was a great year for Memphis. They were second in scoring offense behind QB Riley Ferguson (3,971 yards passing, 36 TDs), RB Darrel Henderson (8.9 yds/carry) and consensus All American WR Anthony Miller.

The Tigers just missed going to a New Years game when they lost in OT to Central Florida in a phenomenal AAC championship game. And when other schools came sniffing to poach HC Mike Norvell, the Tiger faithful were ecstatic when he decided to stay in Memphis and inked a 5 year deal.

Now they get rewarded for  fantastic year by getting to play a bowl game on their home field.

Iowa State had a great year too. Out of nowhere, they upset Oklahoma and TCU and were in contention late for the Big 12 championship. Defense led the way for the Cyclones. In the wide open Big 12, they held eight of their last 10 opponents to 20 points or less.

And just like Memphis, Iowa State fans were pumped when HC Matt Campbell inked a 6 year extension before higher profile prgames could poach the Big 12 COY.

Iowa State is 10-1 ATS so I’ll pick the Clones. But no quatloos. I need Memphis in my pool.

More to come later today
