Just when you thought it would never happen again - Georgia Tech did it again.
With Florida State getting ready to kick a walk off winning FG - this happens

and
Wow - just simply wow.
Bruce texted me to say that Mrs. Bruce now knows how I feel about the MSU Michigan game.
The Sax Man and Saxy Lady were at the game. The still haven't come down yet.
The Doofus was riding high too - at least until Sunday
Halloween isn't for another week but Saturday started out a little scary.
BK texted that it was raining like crazy for the Indiana game was just like an Indiana game from over 30 years ago - the famous Tropicana Jar game.
And it looked like the injuries were finally catching up with the Spartans. Indiana is a bad matchup for a banged up State. They have a better than you expect defensive line and a potent passing game.
Both areas where State is down the most players. THe Hoosiers were pressuring Connor Cook and Sudfeld was slicing apart the MSU secondary.
The teams were trading TDs but because Indiana missed a couple PATS the score was 28-26 after 3 quarters. It's then that the State defense rose to the occasion and the running game returned.
State kicked a FG, forced a punt and then scored a TD to take a 38-26 lead. Then they got a couple of goofy TDs late to win 52-26. Don't let the score fool you. This game was close.
Cook was fantastic. He looked like a first round draft choice. On target, on time, strong throws. He won that game with his arm, his head and his feet.
State gets a week to get healthy. If Cook keeps performing at that level, MSU is a very dangerous team.
A nice start to a great Saturday. State won. Tech pulled off a miracle. The only bummer was Auburn's double OT loss to Arkansas.
The Big Book of Guesses went a respectable 29-25-1 on the college games and 6-4 on the over/unders.
The Doofus was fantastic on the College games going 1-0 on the Mega Bets:

Southern Miss -15.0 @ UNC Charlotte - UNC Charlotte got a FG to go up 3-0 and then it was all Southern Miss. They reeled off 30 straight points.
Then UNCC got a TD midway through the 3rd quarter to make it 30-10, Southern Miss simply returned the ensuing kickoff to the house to increase the lead back to 27 points. One more Golden Eagle TD in the 4th quarter made the final score Southern Miss 44 UNC Charlotte 10 WIN
I also got all four Mini Megas right too with:

Ohio State - 21.5 @ Rutgers - With JT Barret under center, the Buckeye offense clicked. Barrett threw for 3 TDs and ran for two more.
The defense threw a shut out until the scrubs were in. With 13 seconds left, Rutgers scored a meaningless TD to make the Final Score 49-7 WIN
Houston - 21.5 @ UCF - I was trying to figure out if it was betting on Temple or betting against UCF caused last weeks loss. It was betting on Temple.
It was a little dicey. UCF led 10-7 late in the 2nd quarter. But unlike Temple, Houston didn't wait until the 4th quarter to turn it on. They scored 17 points in the last two minutes of the first half to take a 24-10 lead.
The Cougars scored 5 more TDs in the second half in a 59-10 blowout WIN
After the game UCF HC George O'Leary stepped down as HC. QB Coach Danny Barrett leapfrogged the OC and DC to be appointed interim HC
Bowling Green -14.5 @ Kent State - BGSU continues to roll. QB Matt Johnson threw for 5 TDs for the 3rd consecutive game in a 48-0 blow out of Kent State WIN
Clemson -6.5 @ Miami (FL) - The stands were empty by halftime. Clemson had taken a 42-0 lead by then. Shouts of "Fire Al Golden!" were cascading down from the few that remained.
Clemson coasted through the second half. When it was all said and down the Tigers won 58-0. The worst beat down of the Canes ever WIN
After the game, Cane fans got their wish. Al Golden was fired. That makes two Mini Mega games were the losing coaches got canned. Fear the Doofus!
The Over/Under parlay went 2-1 with
Wisconsin @ Illinois under 46.0 - Final score Badger 24 Illini 13 WIN
North Texas @ Marshall over 56.0 - Final score Marshall 30 North Texas 13 LOSS
Texas Tech @ Oklahoma over 74.0 - Final score Oklahoma 63 Texas Tech 27 WIN
A very profitable Saturday

And then, I gave most of it back Sunday going 6-8 including with two Mega Bet Losses:
Atlanta -6.0 @ Tennessee - Don't sleep on the Tennessee defense. It kept Atlanta in check for almost the entire afternoon.
But after Atlanta got a TD midway through the 3rd quarter I was still looking good for a cover. The Falcons were finally moving the ball and needed a TD to cover or a FG to push.
There were two near misses. First with seven minutes to go, Matt Ryan hits Julio Jones - Jones runs to the pylon and TD. Well, at least I thought so. The refs ruled him inches short.
A fullback plunge goes nowhere - bad call. Use Devonta Freeman damn it or a QB sneak
Then on 4th and goal, Ryan throws a pick killing the drive
Later, on the next Falcon drive, they get to the Titan 29 4th and 2, just over 2 minutes left. They opt to go for the FG which would have given me the push. I'll take it
Wide Right
Crap - Final score Atlanta 10 Tennessee 7 LOSS
Indianapolis -4.0 vs New Orleans - At least I had a chance in the Atlanta game. This game was over in the first half. I had written off Drew Brees a bit too early
The Saints built a 27-0 lead early in the third quarter. A furious Colt comeback fell short. Final score New Orleans 27 Indianapolis 21 LOSS
Turns out that Indy and Atlanta were the two biigest bets by the public last week. Vegas set a trap and I fell right into it. The same trap I avoided on Saturday (Utah @ USC) I reached in to grab that candy and got my arm snapped off.
No doubt, on the GO JUMBO weekend I will be putting down some strong bets on Saturday
Then keep my wallet in my pants on Sunday. I just don't get the NFL.
