Getting close to gaining confidence to drop a Mega Bet. Last night was another Mini Mega win with
Utah State vs Akron under 48.5 - This game started out like an under's dream. Other than a 77 TD strike warly in the first quarter, the offenses were either punting or turning it over in the red zone. With 3 miniutes to go in the half it was 7-0 Akron
Something clicked. In the last three minutes it went FG, TD, FG. Akron still led 13-7. A bit of a shock but the under was still looking good.
The second half was a defensive slugfrst as expected. With Akron holding on to win 23-21 WIN
Two games on tap today

Bowling Green -5.5 vs Georgia Southern - It's the new head coaches Bowl. Both Georgia Southern and Bowling Grenn lost their HC to promotionss. Bowling Green HC Dino Babers is off to Syracuse while Georgia State's Willie Fritz is headed to the Big Easy to lead Tulane
OK Georgia Southern, are you for real or not? One of my favorite teams to be on over the last couple years, especially when getting points against Power 5 teams - the Eagles can now show if they can handle the best Group of 5 teams. Georgia Southern had a respectable 8-4 record but couldn't beat the big boys. The four losses were to Georgia, West Virginia, a key loss to Appalachian State in the Sun Belt and then an all time clunker to Georgia State in the season finale.
The Eagles option attack is always a tough out but can struggle in comeback mode - something that cost them in the loss to Georiga State.
Bowling Green can score in a hurry, The Falcons rank in the top five in FBS in scoring (43.4 points per game), passing offense (376 yards per game) and total offense (561 yards per game). WR Roger Lewis was number one in reveiving yards while QB Matt Johnson was second in yards passing.
I'll put down a mini mega on BGSU to get up early and cover the TD and the hook
I'll lay a quatloo on the over 66.0

Boise State -8.5 vs Northern Illinois - Two powerouses that were a bit off this year. Boise State and Northern Illinois are usually in the hunt for a New Years game but this year they faded.
BSU lost two of their last three to teams they usually destroy - Mew Mexico and Air Force. Northern Illinois made it to the MAC championship game but were never really a factor in the MAC race, spending the year in the shadow of Bowling Green.
The primary reason for NIU's fade was rotating injured QBs. That and a sieve for an OL. The Huskies gave up 20 tackles for losses in their last two games.
Boise State also has QB issues having to start a true freshman under center. QB Brett Rypien (Mark's nephew) was solid for most of the year but had some clunkers in losses to Utah State and New Mexico where he threw 3 picks
BSU has more upside as a team. I'll take them to play up to their potential and cover the 8 against an outmatched NIU. Just a quatloo though
