Supposedly an offensive guru and QB whisperer, and with boosters pouring more than $10 million into the roster with a top 10 transfer class, the Tigers were supposed run everyone off the field.
Didn’t quite work out that way. Auburn hasn’t score over 17 points in SEC play all season. On Saturday they lost to lowly Kentucky having more punts (7) than points (3). In the end Freeze was 15-18 on the Plains (including losses to New Mexico St, Cal and Mississippi St) and 6-15 in SEC play.
Auburn has some deep pockets and little patience. In 2022 they paid a then-record $21.4 million buyout to Gus Malzahn, then another$15.3 million for firing Bryan Harsin after less than two seasons. And it will cost the school another $15.4 million to move on from Freeze.
Still less combined than what Franklin got at Penn State and Jimbo got at A&M.

He’s now guaranteed to make at least $71 million through 2032. Nebraska promptly lost to USC handing the Huskers its staggering 29th straight loss to ranked opponents. Rhule himself has lost 19 straight, dating to his time at Baylor.
North Carolina got it’s first Power 4 win beating Syracuse 27-10. Not sure what was Orange HC Fran Brown was thinking. He started a true freshman from the lacrosse team at QB.

And WSU QB picked a great time to have a sh!tty game against Oregon State throwing 2 picks and getting sacked 6 times.

Indiana -14.5 @ Penn State - Ohio State beat Penn State by 24 last week. Cignetti will want to out do that. He will.
BYU +13.5 @ Texas Tech - Texas Tech Behren Morton has been having a great year but he's been dinged up and will be facing the best passing defense he has seen all year. The fact that there will be wind gusts up to 27 MPH doesn't help.
BYU QB Bear Bachmeier, who has been nothing short of incredible for the unbeaten Cougars. He looks more like a LB that a QB when he is rumbling down the field. He has 20 all purpose TDs on the year. BYU is ranked 7th, is undefeated and getting nearly 2 TDs? I'll take that.
And WSU QB picked a great time to have a sh!tty game against Oregon State throwing 2 picks and getting sacked 6 times.

Mark Gronowski has run for a TD in every game this season Iowa +6.5 vs Oregon – Oregon is a bit overrated. They’ve beaten up on a lot of weak opponents (per usual) and their biggest win was over Penn State in double OT. Turns out that isn’t as impressive as it seemed at the time. The Ducks’ sloppy 21-7 home win vs. Wisconsin last week further that Oregon is not quite as good as fans think they are.
Iowa has won three straight since losing just 20-15 to Indiana. The Hawkeyes are the only team to stay within a core of the Hoosiers all year. Oregon lost by 10 at home to Indiana. Oregon struggles with running QBs. Iowa QB Mark Gronowski is Iowa’s best weapon. He ran for 130 yards on nine carries against Penn State, and has run for a touchdown in every game this season with 11 in total.
It should be a low scoring game with Iowa keeping it within a TD.
