My flight crew was top notch The gang has started to arrive. Pat, Woz, Tom and I started out the festivities but catching up on anything new in our lives (nope – still boring), new medications (a few but nothing major) before getting onto our normal drivel of conversations. Somehow it all just felt right. All is good with the world when you can just have inane conversations with old friends.
Pete will join today along with Trent along with a couple surprise guests on Saturday. Then we will trot out the same old stories along with a few more long forgotten all the while, the embellishments get far larger. It’s going to be a great weekend.

Houston's defense is finally starting to come around Houston ML +105 @ Arizona – Two teams headed in different directions. Houston has won 2 straight while Zona has lost 5 straight, including 3 blowouts in the last 4 games. Houston is finally starting to gel under new HC Willy Fritz. The defense will keep the pressure Cat QB Noah Fifta.
UCLA +4.5 @ Washington – Another set of teams headed in opposite directions. UCLA has won three straight including vs Iowa. Washington has lost 3 of 4 including getting blown out by Penn State and Iowa. UCLA’s run defense has stepped up as of late while Washington’s offense has trailed off so much they pulled their Sr QB at half time last week.
Wyoming @ Colorado State over 46.5 – Wyoming’s listless offense came to life after installing dual threat freshman Kaden Anderson at QB. But the defense plays like the Russians at the outset of Operation Barbarossa. Colorado State has one of the better ground games and should rack up the points.
And some early bets for FFDY! (of course, I will be making them on Saturday. The drink coupons expire overnight.)

Texas got blown out by the only current top 25 team they have played. Arkansas +12.5 vs Texas - Of the eight SEC teams ranked in the current top 25, Texas has only played one and lost in convincing fashion on their home field. Their win over Vandy was only by three. Arkansas is coming off a win over Tennessee, so they are legit. As an underdog, Arkansas’ Sam Pittman is 22-10 ATS which includes a 10-3 ATS mark when catching double digits.
Northwestern +28.5 vs Ohio State – Look ahead game for the Bucknuts with Indiana and scUM up next. Wildcats playing for bowl eligibility. Since 2020, conference home underdogs catching 30+ have gone 10-3 ATS.
Baylor -1.0 @ West Virginia – Baylor is on a tear with three straight wins and now coming off a bye. The Neers have also won two straight but they were one possession games to bad teams. West Virginia is 6-12 ATS as a home underdog, including 0-3 against the number this season.
